Medhat Abdel Hadi, defender of Zamalek Club and the former Egyptian national team, believes that Hossam Abdel Majeed played one of his best matches with the white team during the summit match against Al-Ahly.

Zamalek defeated Al-Ahly by two goals to one, in their meeting on Monday evening at Cairo Stadium, in a postponed match from the tenth round of the Egyptian League.

Medhat Abdel Hadi said in television statements: “I was worried about the presence of the trio Nasser Maher, Abdullah Al-Saeed and Mohamed Hamdy in the middle of the Zamalek stadium.”

He added: “I would have preferred to start with Mohamed Shehata in the midfield of Zamalek Stadium against Al-Ahly… Nasser Maher is a distinguished player and has a strong personality, and he is good at playing in position 10 or 8.”

He continued: “Hossam Abdel Majeed played one of his best matches with Zamalek, but the only mistake was in Al-Ahly’s goal, which was scored by Ahmed Abdel Qader.”

He continued: “All Zamalek players positioned themselves incorrectly in Al-Ahly club’s goal, and the only player who acted correctly was Hamza Mathlouthi.”

Medhat Abdel Hadi concluded his statements by saying: “If Hossam Abdel Majeed took the same position as Hamza Al Mathlouthi, he would have blocked and recovered the ball.”
