The Hebrew Broadcasting Authority said on Saturday that Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant held an alternative session on the prisoner deal after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to convene the mini-ministerial council.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority indicated, earlier today, that the Office of the Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation government rejected a request from Defense Minister Yoav Galant and the two Ministers in the War Council, Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot, to speak with Netanyahu regarding the Hamas prisoner deal.

It also pointed out that Tel Aviv says it will move in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, before the end of Ramadan if negotiations to release the prisoners fail.

Media reports reported, on Saturday evening, that families of Israeli prisoners went out in demonstrations to protest the government of occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and to demand their return from Gaza, according to what Al Jazeera reported from its correspondent.

She indicated that the demonstration was organized in front of the headquarters of the Israeli Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv to demand the dismissal of Netanyahu and holding early elections.

For its part, Israeli Channel 12 said that demonstrators against the Netanyahu government are blocking the main Ayalon Street in Tel Aviv.
