Books – Muhammad Abu Bakr:

Dr. Hisham Arafat, former Minister of Transport, died on Wednesday afternoon, according to what his son Khaled announced on his Facebook page.

The former Minister of Transport died after a struggle with illness, as he was suffering from cancer and suffered from its complications in recent days.

On October 17, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, issued a decision for Dr. Hisham Arafat, engineering professor and former Minister of Transport, to travel abroad for treatment at state expense.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Hisham Arafat entered the Arab Contractors Hospital complaining of fatigue in his eyes, and then it became clear that his health condition was serious.

The Minister of Health’s decision came immediately after a presidential directive was issued to the government to do everything necessary to treat Dr. Arafat at this time.

According to a post by Khaled Hisham Arafat, the son of the former Minister of Transport, the funeral is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the Sayyida Nafisa Mosque after the afternoon prayer.
