Actress Amal Hegazy responded to critics of her taking off the hijab after wearing it for many years.
Amal Hegazy wrote, through her official account on the “X” website: “To everyone concerned, I did not give up my morals, I did not give up my honor, I did not give up my closeness and my love for God, I did not give up my humanity towards the poor, the needy, and the sick, and I did not give up my principles that I am proud of, thank God.. and I did not give up my humanity towards the poor, the needy, and the sick. I take off my modesty, and this is my religion, and this is what God asked of us as human beings, and this is what I will meet God with, and nothing else… With my love and respect, I require clarification.”
Social media pioneers circulated a video clip in which the Lebanese singer and model, Amal Hijazi, appeared celebrating the removal of the hijab in a store.
“Amal” appeared in the video singing her famous song “From the Time Before”, amid mixed opinions among her fans and followers.
The artist, Amal Hegazy, expressed her happiness at wearing the hijab in July 2020 and published a picture in front of the Holy Kaaba, and commented: “At this time and this night two years ago, I made the decision to wear the hijab, and since that time I have been living an indescribable inner happiness with the proximity of God, praise be to God.” For this blessing.”
