Liverpool wants to sign Egyptian Omar Marmoush, the German star of Frankfurt sports

German press reports revealed that Egyptian Omar Marmoush, the German player for Eintracht Frankfurt, is on the doorstep of the English club Liverpool, and that he will be the club’s first deal during the summer Mercato.

The German newspaper Bild reported that the Reds management wants to sign a contract with the Egyptian player, who is also being followed by Arsenal.

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian international has also been linked with a move to both Tottenham and Newcastle.

Liverpool is seeking to have Marmoush (25 years old) as a replacement for Mohamed Salah, who may leave for the Saudi League.

Salah’s (31-year-old) contract with Liverpool expires next summer, and he is of interest to a number of major Saudi clubs.

The newspaper indicated that Frankfurt may ask for 50 million euros in exchange for Marmoush, whose value is currently 15 million euros.

Marmoush’s contract with Frankfurt extends until the summer of 2027.

The newspaper pointed out that Liverpool is counting on Salah to convince Marmoush to move to Anfield during the upcoming summer transfers, noting that Marmoush and Frenchman Ibrahima Konate (Liverpool defender) are represented by the same players’ agent.

Marmoush, who joined Frankfurt for free last summer after the end of his contract with Wolfsburg, shone, making him one of the surprises of the season in the Bundesliga.

Marmoush scored 15 goals and assisted 6 other goals in the 32 matches he participated in this season with Frankfurt in all competitions.
