Director Mohamed Sami said that the artist Mohamed Ramadan was “strongly refusing” to present a second part of the series “Jaafar Al-Omda,” which was shown during the last Ramadan season of 2023.

He explained during an interview with the “Asrar” program, broadcast on “Al-Nahar” satellite channel, on Monday evening, that the producer, Mohamed Al-Saadi, had the idea of presenting a second part of the work, indicating that he was opposed to it.

He added: “I strongly rejected it, and Muhammad Ramadan strongly rejected it. I discussed with Ramadan and told him my point of view frankly, and I told him that as long as I succeed here, I will sacrifice something in our history that is good and we can keep it aside,” according to his description.

He pointed out his refusal to present a second part of the series “The Legend” despite achieving tremendous success at the time, saying that leader Adel Imam was able to maintain his success for many years, while presenting various works.

He continued: “Ramadan had the same point of view and feared spoiling the success of the first part. The idea is why do we make a comparison? We don’t do anything else with other characters, but Mohab (the author) and I also went through the experience and wrote 17 episodes of the second part, and I loved it.”
