The United States of America imposed sanctions on Abu Ubaida, spokesman for the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the movement’s military wing in Gaza, since 2007.
Hudhayfah Samir Abdullah Al-Kahlot
A US State Department statement revealed that Hudhayfah Samir Abdullah Al-Kahlot is the real name of the speaker known as Abu Ubaida, which is the same name mentioned by Israel in 2023.
Abu Ubaida’s identity has not yet been identified by a Palestinian or independent party, and there is no photo of him with the Israeli intelligence services, including Mossad and Shin Bet.
There were reports that Abu Ubaida comes from the town of Na’aliya, and he lives in Jabalia in Gaza, and his house has been repeatedly subjected to Israeli bombing over the past years.

International sanctions
America and European Union countries have issued sanctions on cadres in the Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad movements.
