Roma defeated its host Monza 4-1 today, Saturday, in the twenty-seventh round of the Italian League.

The first half ended with Roma leading with two goals scored by Lorenzo Pellegrini and Belgian Romelu Lukaku in the 38th and 42nd minutes.

In the second half, Argentine Paulo Dybala scored the third goal for Roma in the 64th minute, followed by his compatriot Leandro Paredes by scoring the fourth goal from a penalty kick in the 83rd minute, then Andrea Carbone responded with the only goal for Monza in the 87th minute.

The victory raised Roma’s score to 47 points in fifth place, while Monza’s score stopped at 36 points in eleventh place.

Roma recorded its fourteenth victory against five draws and eight defeats this season.

Roma has continued its recovery journey since the dismissal of its Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho and the appointment of Daniele De Rossi, where it recorded three consecutive victories in the local league and reached the round of 16 in the European League.
