The name of the artist Nisreen Tafesh was removed from the travel ban lists

The Egyptian authorities decided to remove the name of the famous artist Nisreen Tafesh from the travel ban lists, based on a request from her lawyer, Mohamed Ismail. This decision came after submitting a certificate from the court stating that the case against her on charges of writing a bad check had ended.

Muhammad Ismail, Nisreen Tafesh’s lawyer, indicated that he submitted a request to the Public Prosecutor to remove his client’s name from the travel ban lists, and he provided proof that she paid the value of the check, in addition to a certificate confirming her reconciliation in the case. The request was approved and Nisreen was allowed to travel at any time.

In a statement, Nisreen Tafesh’s defense confirmed that the Criminal Investigation Department and the Public Security Department confirmed that there were no other judicial requests against her, which led to her name being removed from the travel ban lists. Immediately upon obtaining this decision, the artist went to Cairo Airport to book a ticket to Dubai without any obstacles.

It is noteworthy that the October Misdemeanor Court of Appeal ruled that the criminal case in the appeal submitted by Nisreen Tafesh against the imprisonment sentence, which was issued in the case of a bad check, was dismissed. Her opposition to the imprisonment sentence was rejected by the October Misdemeanor Court, and the 3-year imprisonment sentence was upheld.
