Three monks were martyred in South Africa.
The church said in its statement: Today, three monks were subjected to a criminal attack in our Coptic monastery, the monastery of Saint Mark the Apostle and Saint Bishop Samuel the Confessor in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The accident resulted in the martyrdom of the three monks:
– The hegumen monk Thekla Samueli, representative of the Diocese of South Africa.
– Monk Justus Ava Marcus.
– Monk Mina Ava Marcos.
The relevant agencies moved to the monastery and began their work to uncover the circumstances of the incident. The Egyptian ambassador in Johannesburg also went to the monastery to follow up on the situation.
