Portuguese coach Jose Gomez announced the formation of the official Zamalek club, which will face its traditional rival, Al-Ahly, this Friday evening, on the grounds of Al Awal Park Stadium, in the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in the final of the Egypt Cup for the 2022-2023 season.
The formation of Zamalek to face Al-Ahly was as follows:
Goalkeeper: Mohamed Awad
Defense line: Omar Jaber – Hossam Abdel Majeed – Hamza Al-Mathlouthi – Ahmed Fattouh
Midfield: Nabil Imad Dunga – Abdullah Al-Saeed – Obama
Offensive line: Zizou – Nasser Mansi – Mustafa Shalabi
On the bench are: Mohamed Sobhi, Mahmoud Alaa, Mustafa El-Zenari, Mohamed Ashraf Rouqa, Ahmed Hamdi, Nasser Maher, Shikabala, Samson Akinola, Seif El-Din El-Jaziri.
The Portuguese coach excluded the trio: goalkeeper Moaz Alaa El-Din, Sayed Abdullah “Neymar” and Mohamed Shehata from the white team’s list to face Al-Ahly.
Zamalek had qualified for this round after overcoming its counterpart, Pyramids, in the semi-finals, on penalties, after the end of regular and extra time in a draw with three goals for each team.
