Dr. Hassanein Abdel-Hakam Hassanein, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments in Minya, stated that the ministry seeks to spread moderation, graduate educated and accredited imams and memorizers of the Qur’an, and crack down on those claiming religiosity and promoters of destructive ideas.

The Minya Endowments Undersecretary added that the Ministry has established centers for preparing memorizers of the Holy Qur’an, which are concerned with teaching recitation and contemplation of the Qur’an for free, and are also concerned with spreading moderate thought, which, as confirmed by Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Gomaa, Minister of Endowments, is that they are specialized alternative centers characterized by moderation, far from randomness and spreading Misconceptions in children’s minds.

He explained that the Endowments launched an institute to prepare memorizers and teachers of the Qur’an through an organized and disciplined scientific study of the Al-Azhari educational system.

The Endowment Undersecretary said that writers in most villages and areas far from cities suffer from extremist movements exploiting children’s minds. He continued, “Despite the ignorance of the governor, he would issue religious fatwas regarding legal issues he did not know, either citing the principles of his extremist movement, or citing sources of extremism.” Or from books from ancient times.”

The Undersecretary of the Minya Endowments confirmed in exclusive statements to Al-Shorouk that the Ministry announced the opening of applications for centers for preparing Holy Quran memorizers in major mosques, in 72 institutes nationwide. To teach the Holy Qur’an and its sciences, in order to graduate teachers and memorizers of the Qur’an and work for them after graduation.

The Endowments determined the form of the study as follows:

The introductory year should be limited to mastering, memorizing and reciting the Holy Qur’an, at the hands of scholars and specialized readers.
The duration of study should be 6 months, starting in early January and ending in June, after which a certified portfolio certificate will be granted to anyone who passes the introductory year and the specialized year.
The priority will also be to advance in Ramadan and work in Quranic schools in the Ministry later.

Dr. Hassanein Abdel-Hakam pointed out that the decision came in order to prepare a knowledgeable, qualified and certified teacher for memorizing the Holy Qur’an, through modern Holy Qur’an memorization offices and Quranic schools that the Ministry of Endowments is expanding in opening. To provide a safe place to memorize the Qur’an and understand its meanings, away from the hands of extremist and extremist elements who were using the cover of memorizing the Holy Qur’an as a cover with which they were trying to cover up their malicious purposes in attempts to control or recruit children early for their benefit, confirming that approval had been given to establishing 3 centers in Minya.

For his part, Dr. Muhammad Al-Rihani, Dean of the Minya Center, told Al-Shorouk that these centers come within an elaborate plan to spread moderation and fight extremism, by providing an alternative and stopping the work of parallel entities with special agendas, stressing that the scientific method has been adopted in teaching and education to prevent Half-educated people and those who are ignorant of the Qur’an and its sciences, among the beneficiaries and those with agendas, are those who spread its fallacies in the minds of children, indicating that religion is a science, and only scholars and specialists spread knowledge, but as for the ignorant among the profiteers and those with agendas, they no longer have a place anymore.

Abdel-Hakam confirmed that these centers are monitored by the Ministry’s various administrative and supervisory agencies, and are inspected by the General Inspection of Dawah and Qur’anic Affairs affiliated with the Office of the Head of the Religious Sector, and the General Inspection of the Minister’s Office to ensure the proper functioning of work, and are managed by youth leaders known for their competence and integrity who have recently been promoted to hold doctorates. Examination system.

For his part, Dr. Sayed Abdel Bari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments for Da’wah Affairs, appreciated the initiative, pointing out that the ideas and work plan are carefully studied before announcing it after presenting more than one successful scientific model.

He pointed out that after the Ministry of Endowments closed many offices and circles for memorizing the Holy Qur’an, and launched an alternative to them under the name of a Qur’anic school, the number of Qur’anic schools reached 764 schools across the republic, receiving students free of charge to memorize the Book of God, and employing competent imams, supported by the ministry through lectures. In its affiliated readers, and in its desire to expand, it found no way out but to prepare portfolios from university graduates and all education systems that guarantee their competence and loyalty to the profession and not to another movement or party.

It is worth noting that Minya Governorate is one of the governorates that has suffered the most from extremism, and it is also the governorate that has witnessed the most fires in Christian places of worship, due to the poisoning of ideas among some young people.
