Reports: Israel is verifying the killing of the “third man in Hamas” in the Gaza Strip

A newspaper said,HaaretzOn Monday, the Israeli army said that the Israeli army is investigating whether the deputy head of the military wing of Hamas, Marwan Issa, was killed in raids on the Gaza Strip.

“Issa is considered the third man in the movement classified on the American terrorist list, and the second in the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the movement, after Muhammad al-Deif, as the two are considered the link between the political and military wings of Hamas,” according to “Haaretz.”

Hebrew media reports said, earlier Monday, that the Israeli army “tried to assassinate Issa in an air strike in the Nuseirat camp” in the central Gaza Strip.

The newspaper reports said:The Times of Israel“, “5 Palestinians were killed as a result of this raid,” although it is not known whether Issa was among them.

According to reports, Hamas is also still verifying whether Issa was killed in the raid.
